The Noble South

Expect a great meal for lunch, dinner and brunch! Also open on Mondays when a lot of restaurants are not. One of my favorite places to eat in Mobile.

An up-scale, intimate dining establishment in the heart of Mobile's entertainment district. The food and drinks are pricey but not overpriced. You will need a reservation if there is an event in the downtown area. We visited The Noble South for a private event and had a splendid evening. Emmie (sp?) mixed some incredible off-menu drinks for us, including what she called the La Vie En Rose; a bourbon based drink that was perfectly balanced and incredibly delicious. The appetizers included super fancy deviled eggs, blue cheese with pepper jelly, and, my absolute favorite, pickled shrimp, which had a hint of gumbo flavor to go along with the vinegar and onions. For the main course I chose the Waygu beef while my wife went with the crusted swordfish. These were strategic choices so that we could each try both dishes, and neither was disappointed. By far my favorite restaurant in Downtown Mobile. A true farm to table experience with a menu that changes often enough to keep you coming back. Noble South is a must stop when visiting or passing through Mobile!
